Spring has sprung, MLBbro.com fam! We’re bouncing back this week (1-5 on the season), and just like the back-to-back winners we gave you on the Daily Best Bet (@MLBbrodotcom on X, IG, and FB) we’re hitting you with a three-peat of winners on Friday:

  1. Chicago should be rocking as the Cubs (-167) take on the floundering Miami Marlins (+139). Shota Imanaga (2 wins – 0 losses, 0.00 ERA) has been nearly perfect for the Cubbies, and Jesus Luzardo (0 wins – 2 losses, 7.65 ERA) has stunk up his first couple of starts. No need to bet against the trends for either of these pitchers.

Best Bet. Take the Cubs -1.5 RL (+133)

  1. Grab an appropriate cheesesteak shirt, and let’s head to Philadelphia where the Phillies (-165) take on the Chicago White Sox (+140). Both offenses are in the bottom half of the league, but only one starting pitcher has a sub 2.0 ERA. Bank on the Phillies’ Spencer Turnbull (1 win – 0 losses, 1.8 ERA) to add to his 16 early season strikeouts.

Turnbull will turn up. Phillies -1.5 RL (+105)

  1. The Washington Nationals (+143) and Houston Astros (-170) will have an absolute battle on Friday, as Justin Verlander makes his season debut against the National’s flamethrower Mackenzie Gore (2 wins – 0 losses, 2.81 ERA). Gore has been stifling with 23 strikeouts already on the season, and with MLBbro C.J. Abrams batting just shy of .300 with five home runs it won’t be a warm welcome for the veteran Verlander.

Return of the wack. Nationals ML (+143)
