Welcome back MLBbro.com family! As we enter the early weeks of summer, we celebrate our grads, dads, and winning that BIG bag. Last week we cleaned up nicer than a barber from Sporty Cutz on 7-mile in Detroit!

Three wins on three picks last time around, and now that I got that shameless plug for the big boss Rob Parker out of the way let’s get to today’s winners:

1. The Arizona Diamondbacks (-145) have been hot since the spring, and after the Dodger’s recent struggles against the Reds the D-Backs are back atop the NL West. Their fourth year starter Merrill Kelly (7 wins – 3 losses, 2.8 ERA) finally has the run support to pull his team into contention. With his team ranking in the top 10 in batting average, runs, hits, and slugging percentage he is looking to scorch the Detroit Tigers (+125).

The Tigers season has yet to take off, but they have rookie Riley Greene who has been cooking since entering the MLB. With a .296 batting average, five home runs, and 18 RBIs, he’s showing shades of teammate Akil Baddoo’s first year. If only the rest of his team wasn’t sitting in the bottom five in all offensive categories.

Desert storm in the D. Diamondbacks ML (-145).

2. What’s a summer without the obligatory New York Yankees (-165) and Boston Red Sox (+140) matchup? This year it’s a bit more than an eye roll mention, as the Yankees and Red Sox are in the middle of the most competitive division in baseball. While both are chasing the Rays, the division may produce two wild card bids with every team at or above .500.

Today’s matchup has an undefeated streak on the line, as Yankee Gerrit Cole owns a 7-0 record. The Red Sox hope their righty Garett Whitlock (2 wins – 2 losses, 5.61 ERA) can end the streak and stifle MLBbros Willie Calhoun and Giancarlo Stanton.

Not today Beantown. Bro’s Best Bet is Yankees ML (-165)

3. Don’t look now, but the Oakland A’s (+192) actually won back-to-back games against the Atlanta Braves! Cute, adorable even, but all of that is a mere blip in the radar of what continues to be a freefall for a franchise on its way out.

The Milwaukee Brewers (-235) will pile onto the dumpster fire. Their starter Adrian Houser (2 wins – 1 loss, 3.45 ERA) should be in a different league than A’s starter Luis Medina (0 wins – 5 losses, 8.19 ERA). The offenses matchup pretty close by the numbers, though, so let’s hope this matchup is better than I’m forecasting.

Two for one! A’s/Brewers OVER 9 total runs, Brewers ML (-235)
