On Friday August 1, 2025, the San Francisco Giants called up OF Grant McCray from AAA Sacramento. McCray is a former third round pick by the Giants in the 2019 MLB Draft and just last season was a Giants Top 10 prospect. McCray was in the big leagues for the Giants near the end of 2024 to help the Giants navigate Jung Hoo Lee’s injury, and he showed flashes of stardom.
