The Jo Adell show has been worthy of a primetime slot after his recent stretch of offensive success.  He brings a career-long 13 game hitting streak into the July 4th weekend as he takes the top spot on our Week 15 #HighFive list.

Nobody is prouder of the performance of Jo Adell than Los Angeles Angels manager Ron Washington who it was announced a few weeks ago would be missing the remainder of the season due to a medical issue. He believed in him enough to give him the full reins in centerfield coming into the season over future Hall of Famer Mike Trout and ever since then, he has made the most of the opportunity.

A first inning two-RBI single against the Braves on Wednesday extended Adell’s career-long hitting streak to 13 games. It is not out of the question that the Angels outfielder could be back in Atlanta in a few weeks as their representative for this year’s All-Star Game.

Over Adell’s last seven games he has produced a slash line of .407/.484/.667 with seven RBI and two home runs.

The promise shown by Adell and fellow MLBbro rookie Christian Moore should give Angel fans great hope for their future and even the present, as they are only a few games out of the final wild card spot.

2. George Springer

George Springer’s hot month of June coincides with the Blue Jays playing well enough to overtake the Yankees for first place in the American League East.

Springer began the month of July with a bang, homering twice including a grand slam and collecting seven RBI in a Canada Day victory over New York. The former World Series champion has a slash line of .440/.533/.680 with those two home runs, 11 RBI and three stolen bases in his last seven games.

This weekend Springer and his Jays welcome fellow #HighFive member Jo Adell and the Los Angeles Angels to Toronto for a three-game series.

3. Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge continues to stack together great weeks as he makes a case for his third career American League MVP award.

Although his Yankees comeback efforts fell short despite his game-tying 8th inning homer, Judge’s 31st home run of the year came along with some history as he passed Bryce Harper for seventh most bombs among active players as his career total now stands at 346.

He did slightly come back to Earth in June after flirting with a .400 entering the month, but if his start to July is any indication, the MVP race between him and Cal Raleigh is going to get interesting as we get closer to the trade deadline.

Judge is hitting .348 with three home runs, nine walks and has a .531 On Base Percentage over his last season games as he prepares for round two of the Subway Series this weekend.

Marcus Semien’s yearly midseason turn around is in full effect as he earns the fourth spot on our #HighFive list.

His .387/.457/.645 slash line this week included both a walk off single off one of the best closers in the Majors and a three-run shot Wednesday after some questions about his Rangers team chemistry after comments made by the now retired outfielder Kevin Pillar.

Semien credits simplifying his routine for his recent run of success.

“I was changing something up almost everyday,” Semien told reporters.  “I decided one day I am going to keep things the same for the next three games.  That is when I found success in the Cardinals series.”

5. Tommy Pham

Do not sleep on Tommy Pham. It does not matter what team, what stadium or where he is in the lineup, he has and will always be a professional hitter.

He credits his success this season to new eye contacts he was prescribed to help with his Keratoconus, a condition that can cause your vision to be distorted. If Pham keeps playing well, he could find his way to the 11th team of his career due to the Pirates likely being sellers. Playoff Pham has a .385 average with two home runs and 10 RBI over his last seven games. A contending team will want to look into acquiring a veteran bat with World Series experience.
