LA Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw continues to etch his name in the record books at 37 years of age. In his 18th big league season, the three-time Cy Young Award winner, 2014 National League MVP and multiple World Series winner has lived a blessed life. His accumulation of impressive statistics tells an obvious story. Achieving his 3,000th career strikeout puts him in immortal territory. Triple OG status and a go directly to the Baseball Hall of Fame card.

Entering Wednesday night’s start against the White Sox, Kershaw only needed three strikeouts to reach 3,000 and he got the third against White Sox third baseman Vinny Capra, on a slider in the sixth inning.
