Jo Adell has had a career season with the Angels this year. The numbers speak for themselves and he has not shown any signs of slowing down either.

Since entering the league in 2020, Adell has faced numerous hurdles, from injuries to inconsistent play, but that has not derailed him at all. This year, Adell has had a healthy season and the Angels have certainly benefited from that.

Through 136 games played this season, Adell has a .243 batting average with an impressive .507 slugging percentage. He also has 35 home runs and 94 RBI. Adell leads his team in homers and is second in RBI.

Adell has a chance to finish the season with 40 home runs and 100 RBI, which would highlight a career year for the 26-year-old. While the Angels chances of postseason play are slim, the future is bright, with Adell spearheading the charge.

He has had a strong start to the final month of the regular season. Through seven games he has a .407 batting average with five homers and 12 RBI.

The MLBbro has been locked in at the plate this season. During the Angels’ three game series against the Kansas City Royals last week, Adell played the hero for his team.

On September 3, he accounted for all four runs as the Angels pulled away with a 4-3 victory over the Royals. He went 2-for-4 at the plate with a three-run home run and a RBI single.

“I was just up there grinding,” Adell told mlb.com after the game. “Erceg has a really good sinker. Just trying to put the ball in play and see what would happen. That one and the homer were both cool moments. But putting the team ahead [for good] with the grounder and having them have to make a play was probably more important tonight for me.”

Adell finished the series with five hits, two home runs and six RBI. Angels interim manager Ray Montgomery has been impressed with Adell’s offensive performance.

“The homer was incredible because the wind was pushing the ball down a little bit,” Montgomery said. “I was equally impressed by the contact he made on the infield single. Jo just keeps putting up those types of at-bats. We should not be surprised anymore.”

It was only a matter of time before we were going to see this type of production from Adell.
