Josh Naylor has been one of the top free agent additions from this past offseason and he may become the best bat available on the trade block if he continues to scorch pitchers with his elite hitting ability. He sits atop the throne on our Week 14 #HighFive list.

1. Josh Naylor

Josh Naylor is currently in the midst of the best stretches of his career as he has compiled a career long 13-game hitting streak over the last two weeks.

The Impaler | Josh Naylor’s Season Is Cruisin’ Like a Classic Chevy

The 2023 American League All-Star is likely to make his second straight appearance in the Mid Summer Classic, this time for the National League where he ranks third in batting average, fourth in hits and in the top 15 for both RBI and doubles.

In the month of June, Naylor has posted a slash line of .324/.380/.507 with 16 RBI, three home runs and four doubles.

He is in the last year of his contract and should be in for a major payday come season’s end and with Arizona falling out of the National League West race and likely not to re-sign him, I believe they will want some sort of compensation for the coveted left-handed first baseman.

2. C.J. Abrams

C.J. Abrams took his game to another level in the Nationals series against the Padres, the team that dealt him along with James Wood in exchange for Juan Soto to take the second spot on this week’s #HighFive list.

In the last half of Washington’s west coast road trip Abrams collected five hits in the three-game set in San Diego.

Monday was his best game as he and James Wood combined to go 6-for-10 with a home run, four RBI and six runs scored in what ended up being a 10-6 win.

Abrams, who had his six-game hitting streak snapped after an 0-for-4 Wednesday is still slashing .355/.412/.613 with two homers, three RBI and a stolen base.

3. Taj Bradley

Taj Bradley (David Grubb)

Taj Bradley finished what was an up and down June on a high note, earning the three spot on our Week 14 #HighFive list.

Bradley threw 6.2 shutout innings allowing only two hits, one walk and striking out four in a road victory against the Kansas City Royals.

In three of his starts this month Bradley allowed zero runs while in the other two have allowed seven and six runs respectively.

Taj Bradley Is Locked In Ace Mode

He did not start pitching until the end of his high school career, so each time on the mound is an opportunity for him to learn.

Bradley’s next start will be on the road again, this time in Baltimore against Cedric Mullins and the Orioles.

4. Jazz Chisholm Jr.

Jazz Chisholm

Jazz Chisholm Jr. had a solid month of June after missing the entire month of May with a right oblique injury. He batted .329 four homers, doubles and stolen bases racking up 13 RBI over that span. One of those homers came Wednesday night to help the Yankees salvage the final game of their series in Cincinnati. That bomb had to feel good for Chisholm who was ejected the night before for arguing a poor strike three call.

Jo Adell is finally showing the Angeles front office and fans that the top prospect is on the verge of a breakout year. Just like Naylor, Adell enters this week’s #HighFive list riding career-long hitting streak as he has reached eight games after his fifth multi-hit game of the month against the Red Sox Wednesday.

In his last seven games he is slashing .320/.433/.720 with three home runs, five RBI and five walks.

That slash line shows how well the six-year outfielder is seeing the ball in a year where he has a lot to prove if he wants to be a part of the Angeles future.
