MLBbro Lawrence Butler Gets Jersey Retired At West Lake High School

Celebrating a milestone moment, the City of South Fulton came together to retire the jersey of Oakland A’s rookie Lawrence Butler at Westlake High School in Georgia. A graduate of Westlake Baseball, Butler made history as the first student-athlete from the school to ascend to Major League Baseball. Recognizing not just his athletic prowess but also his impactful philanthropy in South Fulton, District 2 Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs presented Butler with a well-deserved proclamation.
