MLBbro Lorenzo Cain made his first playoff appearance since 2019 as the Milwaukee Brewers took on the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 of the National League Division Series.

Cain is looking to win his second World Series title and help the Milwaukee Brewers win their first. The Milwaukee Braves last won the World Series in 1957.

The Brewers were able to come away with a 2-1 victory, but it wasn’t easy.

Cain got the start in center field for Milwaukee and delivered the team’s first hit which came in the bottom of the third inning off of Charlie Morton.

His single to right field ignited the Brewers’ offense which came alive during the seventh inning.

Milwaukee scored two runs in the seventh and were able to hold on to the lead throughout the game.

Cain finished the game going 1-for-3 and played a solid center field.

In his last playoff appearance back in 2019, he only appeared in one game and went 1-for-4 against the Washington Nationals.

This postseason, Cain will most likely appear in more games and it’s a plus that he’s back to full health after battling with multiple injuries during the regular season.

There was a point during the season where Cain’s availability was up in the air. But this brother is a competitor and is going to do whatever it takes to get on that field and put his team in the best position to win games.

Milwaukee is two wins away from advancing to the National League Championship Series and Game 2 will be Saturday with a 5:07 p.m. ET start.

Look for Cain to continue to have success at the plate this series and provide a spark for the Brewers.
