Justin Crawford entered this season with high expectations as he followed in the footsteps of his father, center fielder Carl Crawford, who led the American League in stolen bases in four different seasons.

For the most part, he has answered the bell with a .266 batting average, 16 steals and a .673 OPS in 140 games this year. Philadelphia is closing in on securing the second Wild Card spot in the National League with less than 10 games to go. Crawford has hits in seven consecutive games, and on Wednesday night he hit his first home run since May 13th.
He will look to stay hot this weekend in the Phillies’ final road series of the year as they head to New York to face off against the Mets.
2. George Springer
George Springer has been making an impact on the diamond and in the community as the Blue Jays nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award takes the second spot on our Week 24 #HighFive.
Springer, along with MLBbros Jordan Walker, Nasim Nunez and Cedric Mullins, were all nominated by their teams for one of Major League Baseball’s most coveted awards.
On the field, Springer continues to be a consistent force for Toronto as they will be fighting for their playoff lives over the last 10 games of the season.
Springer has collected hits in six straight games and earlier this week had a stretch of three consecutive multi-hit efforts.
He also has hit .360, driven in five runs, walked four times and racked up a .448 on-base percentage over that span.
3. Chandler Simpson
Chandler Simpson has been hitting and making contact at an elite level since the month of July as he claims the third spot on our second-to-last #HighFive of the season.
The current American League leader in batting average has also taken over the top spot in the race for the A.L. stolen base crown this week as his total now sits at 44. Over his last seven games, he is also slashing .360/.385/.440 with five RBIs.

If Simpson is able to hold on, he will become the second Tampa Bay Rays player in their franchises history to win a batting title, the other being his teammate Yandy Diaz, who led the American League in 2023.
This weekend, his Rays will look to hold off the Boston Red Sox from clinching a playoff berth as they take on their divisional rivals in their final home series of the regular season.

Michael Harris has put together his best all-around season as a professional as he hits cleanup on our Week 25 #HighFive.

This season, Harris has already set career-highs in RBI, hits, home runs and should surpass his high in doubles and runs scored before next Sunday’s season finale.
He has picked up from his slow start to begin the month by recording three multi-hit games this week, including his third four-knock game of the year last Saturday against fellow #HighFive member Justin Crawford and the Phillies.
5. Mookie Betts
Mookie Betts is the most decorated Black player we have in our game today. He takes the fifth and final spot on our Week 24 #HighFive as he is in the middle of the best stretch of his season.
