Washington Nationals outfielder Daylen Lile earned the top spot on our Week 22 #HighFive list after winning his first career National League Player of the Week award.
1. Daylen Lile
Daylen Lile has been locked in at the plate as his second Nationals season continues to wind down.
He was named the National League Player of the Week after batting .458 with three home runs and 10 RBIs, five of which came in one game against the Colorado Rockies as he set a new career-high.
Lile has made a strong case to be the team’s starting left fielder heading into next season, and even further beyond.
He ranks among the top three of all Nationals hitters in multiple offensive categories, including RBIs with 80, an .845 OPS, a .305 on-base percentage and 11 triples.

This weekend, Washington will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers before heading to San Diego to face the Padres.
2. Jazz Chisholm Jr. “Bahamian Blur”
Jazz Chisholm continues to play his best baseball at the most important time as he claims the second spot on our 22nd edition of the #HighFive.
The week was highlighted for Chisholm by his 3-for-5 effort in Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels.

He homered for the 19th time this season, pulling him closer to his third season in a row with at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases. Over his last seven games, Chisholm is batting .300 with two steals, three walks and seven runs scored.
3. Taj Bradley
Taj Bradley ended August on a high note, allowing one run through seven innings while striking out nine and giving up just four hits to record his only win in six starts during the month.

That is the seventh time this season he has recorded at least nine strikeouts in a game as he now sits fifth in the American League with 178 entering the weekend.

4. Chandler Simpson
Chandler Simpson hit at an elite level for the entire month of August as he takes the cleanup spot on our Week 22 #HighFive list.
Simpson had his best month of the year, hitting .383 with an .398 on-base percentage, 11 stolen bases and 11 runs driven in during the month.

Chase Burns responded positively after having one of the worst starts of his season, where he allowed five runs on nine hits in less than four innings, to claim the fifth and final spot on our #HighFive.
On Sunday Night Baseball at Wrigley Field, Burns surrendered two runs through 5.2 innings, striking out seven and navigating through six hits and a walk.
Burns earned his 15th win of the year, putting him just one behind Phillies left-hander Cristopher Sanchez, who started the All-Star Game, for the most in the National League.
