“Money” Michael Harris continues to shine during the second half of the season. Despite having his 12-game hitting streak snapped Wednesday, the Braves hometown hero takes the top spot on our Week 21 #HighFive list.

Harris has been one of the best stories in Major League Baseball since we returned from the All-Star Break.

The former National League Rookie of The Year saw his name in trade rumors and was even benched for a few games for a mental reset. That is all in the past now. Since then, Harris has been one of the best players in all of baseball ranking in the top 5 in RBI, average, Slugging Percentage and OPS. It appears a change back to his old batting stance where he holds his hands higher and uses a larger toe-tap.

Over his last seven games he has a slash line of .433/.433/.800 with three home runs, nine RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base.

2. “Black Jack” Flaherty

The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type season for Jack Flaherty landed him on the good side in his most recent start as he earned the No. 2 spot on our #HighFive list with a dominant outing against the Astros.

It seems like every time he takes a step forward this year it is followed by two steps back. Let’s hope this outing has him in a consistent groove. After a solid start to begin August, Flaherty allowed 10 runs in nine innings in his two following appearances. Monday he was at his best, throwing seven innings of shutout baseball allowing just three hits and a walk to earn his seventh win of the year.

The Tigers need Flaherty to be more consistent.  They already have an Ace for the playoffs in Skubal but they must get production out of the rest of their starting rotation if they want to go further than they did in 2024.

His next start will be Sunday afternoon in a pivotal divisional matchup against Kansas City.

3. George Springer

The return of George Springer to the Blue Jays lineup should send fear through every Major League clubhouse. The former World Series champion brings veteran leadership and solid play on the field to a team that has not made it past the Wild Card round since 2016. Since returning to the active roster after missing 16 games with a concussion he is slashing .380/.409/.789 with hits in all five games including home runs in three of his last four.

His Blue Jays enter Friday six games ahead of the Yankees for the American League East crown as they head to Miami for a three-game set against the Marlins.

4. Jo Adell

Jo Adell has put on a power display all year as his fourth multi-homer game of the year and some Bro-on-Bro Crime lands him in the four spot on our Week 21 #HighFive List.

Adell launched a home run off of one of his best friends, Hunter Greene 452ft to the rocks in left center field of Angels Stadium.  In his next at-bat he lined a shot to the left field corner to tie the game with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning. He is third in the Majors in home runs hit over 115 MPH with three trailing only Ohtani, O’Neil Cruz American League MVP front runner Aaron Judge.

5. C.J. Abrams

Abrams continues to establish himself as a cornerstone for a rebuilding Nationals team as earns the final spot on our #HighFive. Abrams enters the weekend four home runs shy of his second consecutive 20/20 season.  He would be the first since 2014 to accomplish the feat multiple times in the franchise’s history.

He has hits in six of his last seven games and is hitting .300 with five RBI and slugging .500 over that span. This weekend Abrams’ Nationals take on a Philadelphia Phillies team who they defeated 3-1 in their last series matchup.
