HBCU players from Grambling & Morehouse impacted both the New York Mets in 1969 and the 1993 New York Yankees World Series Championship. In ’69, a Mets legend from Alabama A&M named Cleon Jones recorded the final out for that “Amazing” miracle team, while Don Clendenon and Cleon Jones starred with the bats.

Grambling’s Gerald Williams won chips with the Yankees in 1993 and Florida Marlins in 2003.
