Aaron Judge still sits atop the throne, Hunter Greene is a record-breaking machine and Kristian Campbell got paid not even a week into his Major League career. The bros showed out opening week for the first edition of the 2025 #HighFive.
1. Aaron Judge

We are in an age of great change around Major League Baseball: whether it be the pitch clock, bigger bases and now reconfigured bats, the game does not look the same as it did even a few years ago.

One of the only constants has been Aaron Judge being at the top of the mountain when it comes to the best hitters in baseball.
Last year’s American League MVP picked up right where he left off in the first week of the season as he already registered a three-home run game, the third of his career while becoming the first Yankee since 2018 to have an eight RBI game when his team launched nine bombs last weekend against the Brewers.
Judge entered Thursday’s series finale against the D-Backs slashing .368/.455/1.560 with 11 RBI and four homers. This weekend his Yankees will travel to Pittsburgh to take on Andrew McCutchen and the Pirates.
2. Cedric “CM Storm” Mullins

As I was typing this article Thursday afternoon, Cedric Mullins who hit leadoff for the first time since September of 2023 blasted his first leadoff Bro Bomb of the season and the third total. The most recent Orioles player with a 30 homer 30 steal season is looking to get back to his 2021 form as he takes the two spot on this week’s #HighFive.

Mullins is off to a great start in what is a contract year for the 30-year old outfielder out of Campbell University as he hit two homers on opening day and drove in a career high five RBI.
I think the lack of starting pitching will be the ultimate demise for the Orioles, but if Mullins can once again reach an All-Star level, their lineup would be talented enough to capture the American League pennant.
3. Hunter Greene “Machine”

Hunter Greene made history in his start Wednesday afternoon becoming the fastest player in the Majors to reach 500 strikeouts, doing so in just 74 starts.

He ended up taking the 1-0 loss that game, but was nearly perfect, going seven innings and striking out eight, allowing just an earned run.
The Reds ace is off to a great start totaling 12 innings, 16 strikeouts, two walks and just three earned runs after his first two starts.
Greene’s next start will be Monday in San Francisco.
4. Kristian Campbell

If Kristian Campbell’s 8-year $60 million contract extension just a week into his Major League career was not enough to earn him a spot on our first #HighFive, his numbers at the plate left no doubt.

Campbell has risen through the ranks quickly since being drafted out of Georgia Tech where he was teammates with Rays minor leaguer Chandler Simpson in the 2023 MLB Draft.
In 2024, he was named the Minor League Player of the Year by Baseball America. He enters Friday with hits in six of his first seven games to begin his career and while slashing .455/.538/1.1447 with four RBI and two homers over that span.
5. Jazz Chisholm Jr. “Bahamian Blur”

Jazz Chisholm said he loves using his new “torpedo bat” and judging by his numbers, I cannot see how he would not.

Through the first week of the season he has a .300 average and an OPS of 1.114 and three home runs, two of which came in the same game a day after Judge’s three-homer show.
Since he got to the Bronx, Jazz has been one of the best players in Major League Baseball. He will look to continue that trend this weekend in the Yankees series against the Pirates.
