The Pittsburgh Pirates hired Tarrick Brock as first base coach back in 2019.

Prior to that he spent the past three seasons as the minor league outfield and base running coordinator for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He was also first base coach for the San Diego Padres in 2016.

Brock was a second-round draft pick out of high school in 1991 by the Detroit Tigers, playing 13 games for the 2000 Chicago Cubs. He was an outfielder who spent 13 seasons in the minors, last playing in 2003.
