Melanated Mound Marauder Don Newcombe is an MLBbro pioneer and a four-time All-Star who started in the Negro Leagues and became a star pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
He was the inaugural NL Cy Young Award winner and also won the MVP award in the same season in 1956.
