The Naylor brothers are together once again in Cleveland. On June 17, the Cleveland Guardians called up catcher Bo Naylor and placed fellow MLBbro Triston McKenzie on the 15-day injured list.

Bo is reunited with his brother Josh once again. The Guardians now have a total of five MLBbro’s who are on their roster.

Before being called up, Bo was hitting .254 with 13 homers and 48 RBIs at Triple-A Columbus.

He made an appearance earlier this season back in May against the New York Mets and did not record a hit in two plate appearances.

And he also appeared in five games last season.

Now he has another shot to make the most of his opportunity and possibly secure a spot on the team throughout the remainder of the season.

Guardians manager Terry Francona does not want this to be a short stint for Naylor.

“He’ll catch Sunday,” Francona said in an article from “I don’t have a plan in place. When we saw Bo in New York it was, ‘Hello for the day.’ This time it’s ‘we’d like him to stay.’

“Nobody has a crystal ball, but that’s the idea. I think there’s a way to immerse him into what he’s doing. We’ll have to see how it goes.”

Even though he’s been called up before, Naylor still gets filled with emotions when he joins the big league team“I’m very excited to be here,” he said. “Each time I’ve been around the club whether it was late last season, in spring training or the one day in New York, I’ve felt more comfortable.”

“I don’t have any expectations,” Naylor said. “I have a lot of excitement. I try to go into everything with a free mind. That way everything is very fresh and very real. I’m excited to play for the fans and show them what I’ve got.

“I want to be a part of this team and help them win games.”

Naylor made his first big league start yesterday against the Arizona Diamondbacks and went 0-4 with a walk and a run scored as Cleveland defeated Arizona 12-3.

The Pride Of Canada | Josh & Bo Naylor Are MLBbros For Real

To see the Naylor brothers playing together is great to see for the game of baseball and sports in general.

Josh, who’s having a pretty solid season for Cleveland this year, will look to continue to help make an impact for his team with his brother right beside.

He’s hitting over .345 during the month of June and recently had a 14-game hitting streak snapped.

Since joining the team in 2019, Josh has been impressive at the plate. Last season he belted 20 home runs and hit .256. So there’s a reason why he continues to be in the lineup and who knows, maybe we will see both Josh and Bo in the lineup consistently as the season progresses.

That will be a sight to behold.

How often do siblings get to say that they got the opportunity to play on the same team with my brother or sister on the highest level?

This will be something the Naylor brothers will always remember.
