The NLDS is off to an exciting start so far. This could potentially go all five games. With the series tied at one a piece. The San Diego Padres will look to take control of the series as the team will play in front of its home crowd on Friday at Petco Park. Padres outfielder Trent Grisham has played a key role offensively for his team.

During the Wild Card Series against the New York Mets, he collected four hits with two home runs during the three-game series. In Game 1 of the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he went 1–for-3 with an RBI as the Padres suffered a 5-3 loss. He did not collect a hit the following game as San Diego won 5-3.

If he can continue to have success at the plate like he did against the Mets, he will help give the Padres a good chance to advance in the postseason.

“Anytime you play well like that in that situation, it’s going to give you confidence going forward. But the main goal is just repeat, repeat, repeat,” Grisham told reporters in Los Angeles after the Mets series. “It was just a weekend. We’re looking to play for another three weeks to a month, so I’m worried about keeping it going.”

Game 3 is going to be a big one for both teams and it will be interesting to see how well Grisham plays from here on out.
