Nick Gordon Has Proven Himself This Season | The Twins Have A Valuable, Multi-Talented Athlete

If you watched Nick Gordon play this season, you might have noticed that he’s played in numerous positions for the Minnesota Twins. And why is that you might ask? Well to keep it simple, the brother is an athlete and can play multiple positions at a high level. When you are talented like Gordon, switching positions is not a problem and you get to show how high your skillset is.

This season Gordon has really established himself as a player, both at the plate and in the field. In 132 games, the 26-year-old is hitting .272 with nine home runs, 45 RBI, and six stolen bases. And during that span, he’s played second base, shortstop, left field, and center field. He has an above .900 fielding percentage at each position he’s played as well. Which is pretty impressive. 

Oh, and we can’t forget about his pitching debut back in May. He went on to make a total of four appearances on the mound this season. Gordon is the type of player who will do anything you ask him to do. Our MLBbro is a team player, and he wants to win. The fact that you can put him pretty much anywhere on the field and know that he’s going to give 100% effort every time is a great feeling.

For a good portion of the season, the Twins were a playoff contending team and Gordon played a crucial role, especially when star outfielder and fellow MLBbro Byron Buxton went to the injured list. Gordon has made significant improvements from last year. He has displayed more power at the plate and has shown he can hit to all sides of the field.

With him appearing in more games this season, we got to see an increase in his production. And with six games left in the season, look for Gordon to finish on a strong note. The Twins are very high on Gordon and there was a reason the team selected him with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft.

Gordon can go on to have a successful career in Minnesota and he can develop into a leader on the field. If he can continue to make an impact like he’s been doing, he’s going to put himself in a solid position in the Twins organization.
