The 2025 MLB postseason is here, and the stage is set for stars to rise under October’s brightest lights. From established MVPs to rising aces, these MLBbros are built for the moment. Here are the top five MLBbros to watch as the chase for the World Series begins.
1. Aaron Judge – New York Yankees – Right Fielder
It’s no surprise MLBbro Aaron Judge tops this list. The Yankees haven’t won a World Series since 2009, and after falling short against the Dodgers last year, the pressure to end that drought falls squarely on Judge’s shoulders.
He’s no stranger to historic seasons, and 2025 is another one. As of September 26, Judge enters October slashing .330/.413/.687 with 52 home runs, leading the league in average and battling Seattle’s Cal Raleigh for a second straight MVP.
But the postseason has always been the question mark. Judge hit just .184 in last year’s playoffs (9-for-49), a slump that may have cost the Yankees a title. If New York is going to finish the job, their captain has to deliver when it matters most.
No player carries more pressure – or more eyes – this postseason than Aaron Judge.
2. Mookie Betts – Los Angeles Dodgers – Shortstop
Mookie Betts’ 2025 season is a lesson in resiliency every aspiring MLBbro should hear. It wasn’t his most dominant campaign, but the “valuable” in MVP defines him perfectly. Betts battled through a mysterious stomach illness that cost him 20 pounds, then a fractured toe in May – all while transitioning to full-time shortstop.
Despite the setbacks, Betts proved elite defensively, leading in Defensive Runs Saved and ranking top 10 in Outs Above Average. At the plate, he remained steady, slashing .262/.330/.411 with 20 homers as of September 26.
But lately, he’s turned it up. In September alone, Betts hit .326 with 6 homers and 23 RBIs, reminding everyone that “Playoff Mookie” is different. The Dodgers are chasing back-to-back titles, and Betts is primed to be the spark that gets them there.
3. Hunter Greene – Cincinnati Reds – Pitcher
The Reds are locked in a battle with the Mets for the final NL Wild Card spot, but that doesn’t stop Hunter Greene from making this list – he’s that special. With the talent to be a 20-game winner on the right roster, Greene still shined despite being limited to just 19 starts.
Two stints on the IL with a right groin strain cost him about three months, yet he returned in dominant form. He finished 2025 at 7-4 with a 2.76 ERA, highlighted by a complete-game one-hit gem with nine strikeouts. Most pitchers stumble after injuries – Greene only reminded us why he’s must-see TV.
The Reds have one job: get Hunter Greene into October. Baseball will be better for it.
4. Giancarlo Stanton – New York Yankees – DH
While the spotlight was on Aaron Judge, the real star of the Yankees’ 2024 postseason was Giancarlo Stanton. He carried the offense, hitting .273 with 7 home runs and 16 RBIs, proving he could be the difference-maker in October.

Stanton’s 2025 campaign didn’t start smoothly – elbow issues sidelined him for 75 games – but once activated, he gave the Yankee lineup the spark they desperately needed. As of September 26, he’s entering the postseason red-hot, slashing .267/.342/.584 with 23 homers, totals that would be much higher had he played a full season.
All eyes may be on Judge again, but don’t blink on Stanton – he just might steal the show.
5. George Springer – Toronto Blue Jays – Right Fielder
Nobody predicted the Blue Jays would be tied for the AL East crown with two games left, but here they are – and MLBbro George Springer is a huge reason why.
At 36, Springer has turned back the clock with one of his best seasons yet. As of September 26, he’s hitting a career-best .305 with 31 home runs – his highest total since 2019 – and posting a career-high .395 OBP. When Toronto needs someone to set the tone, Springer delivers.
And history says he’ll only get better in October. A multi-time All-Star and former World Series MVP, Springer owns a .339 average with 7 home runs and 11 RBIs in the biggest moments. If the Jays punch their ticket, don’t bet against Springer shining brightest when the lights are on.
That’s the five. Power, speed, leadership, and postseason pedigree – these MLBbros embody all of it. The only question left is: who’s going to write their name in October history?
