In the famous words of Steven Quincy Urkel, “Did I do thaaaat?”

Yes sir! The Bros Betting Baseball (@bbruh916 / @abookay3) sure did do that! July has been amazing, as the record stands at 4-1-1 and we’re hoping to keep climbing. The good have been bad and the bad have been good in the MLB the past few weeks, as teams seem to be eager to get to the All Star Game (or break depending on who you ask). Let’s keep our picks on the good side of things and hit that trifecta at the sportsbook this third week of July!

1. First game of the day will be in Chi-town at 2:20pm, as the Chicago Cubs (+110) welcome in the New York Mets (-130). My favorite MLB Bro will be on the bump for the Mets, as Taijuan Walker brings his stellar 2.63 ERA and 7 wins – 2 losses record up against another MLB Bro, Marcus Stroman (4.91 ERA, 2 wins – 5 losses). Stro has a lot to chew on and we just don’t think he’ll have enough run support to get through the likes of Pete Alonso (23 HRs, 72 RBIs) and Jeff McNeil (.311 BA). As inconsistent as the last few weeks have been, we still have the New York Mets Moneyline in game 1.

2. Let’s jump to Chocolate City and check out the Washington Nationals (no line posted) as they host the Atlanta Braves at 2:20pm. The Braves will have righty Ian Anderson (4.98 ERA, 7 wins – 5 losses) pitching against the Nat’s lefty Patrick Corbin (5.7 ERA, 4 wins – 11 losses), who has been a favorite fade by my bro with the stats, PropaganDrew. Corbin’s bad year aside, the Brave’s bats have been working harder than Urkel in his pursuit of Laura Winslow (I had to).

With the likes of Austin Riley, Dansby Swanson, and a “Bro you need to Know” in Ronald Acuna Jr., the Braves are top 10 in batting average, runs, hits, and are claiming the top spot in slugging %. Even though I love another bro who was snubbed for the All Star Game in the National’s Josh Bell (.298 BA, 47 RBIs), there is just too much star power in Atlanta to overcome. We’re taking the Atlanta Braves Moneyline in game 2.

3. Unlike 40% of the Kansas City Royals, our final stop will be our friendly neighbors to the north, Toronto! Those Royals (no line posted) will visit the Blue Jays, in a battle of the righties Zack Greinke (4.52 ERA, 3 wins – 5 losses) and Alex Manoah (2.34 ERA, 9 wins – 4 losses). Throw the stats out of the window, never mind the Blue Jays fired their manager, and just focus on the 40% of the roster not making the trip to Toronto because of Canada’s strict COVID regulations. This is the easiest Bros Best Bet ever, as we’re taking the Blue Jays -1.5 Runline to close out our the 15th of July.
