MLBbro Craig Monroe Was Nice On The Diamond | He’s Now Magic On the Mic
Craig Monroe played in the MLB from 2001 to 2009, spending most of his career with the Detroit Tigers. The former outfielder finished his career hitting .252 with 113 home runs and 433 RBI. Though he’s no longer playing, Monroe is still heavily involved in the sport.
You can catch Monroe on the big screen as an analyst for the Tigers on Bally Sports Detroit and you can listen to him on the Detroit Tigers Radio Network as a color-commentator on select road games.

He was promoted to primary analyst this year and brings a lot of baseball knowledge, swag, and style to the studio. Now if you had the chance to see Monroe dress, then you would see that this brother knows how to put together an outfit. The Texas native even has his own signature men’s fashion line that he launched in 2019.
Monroe has made a name for himself during his playing days and continues to do the same in front of the TV screen.
Craig Monroe played a key role for the Tigers
Monroe was a part of the Tigers from 2002 to 2007. During that span, he played on some teams that struggled and some that had success.
During the 2006 season, the Tigers were one of the hottest teams in all of baseball and Monroe led the squad in homers with 28 and was second on the team in RBI with 92 The Tigers made it to the World Series that year and Monroe belted five home runs during the postseason. Monroe certainly had some pop in his bat. He had 20 or more home runs, three times in his career. Other than Detroit, Monroe spent time playing for the Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Bringing that unique style to the studio
Whether he’s in polo shirt and slacks, or a bright orange suit, Monroe is going to make sure he looks good in front of that camera.

And the fact that he brings so much knowledge to the studio makes it that much better, because he knows what he’s talking about. Monroe always brings the energy, from breaking down a hitter’s approach or from doing a one-on-one interview with a player or coach. They really should let Monroe have his own style segment, where he breaks down his wardrobe and gives viewers some insight on where he gets his style from.
When he was promoted to primary analyst earlier this year, he was filled with excitement.
“I’m thrilled to take on an expanded role in the booth this year,” Monroe said as he spoke with Bally Sports. “I’ve worked hard at my craft since I started here and am fully committed to this team. Another season of Tigers baseball on Bally Sports Detroit is right around the corner. Let’s go!”
Monroe may not be a name that too many people are familiar with, but this former MLBbro was a success on the diamond and will continue to make a name for himself in media, while growing his brand.
