For the Second Straight Season An MLBbro Will Have 10 Or More Wins | Fly Tai Walker & Dr Sticks In The Mix

The 2022 season is coming to an end and there has been some excellent performances by Black pitchers. Some young guns have emerged to signal in a new era in MLB rubber toters. This season, there will be at least one Black pitcher with 10 or more wins on the mound. And that brother is Taijuan Walker. Cleveland Guardians MLBbro Triston “Dr Sticks” McKenzie has nine wins, so he is one of his dominant outings away from joining Walker.

 At least one MLBbro has reached 10 or more wins in the last two seasons, and this could be a continuous trend in the future. We are starting to see more and more of our bro’s dominate on the mound.

Last season, 54 pitchers won 10 or more games and out of those 54, Marcus Stroman was the only MLBbro on that list. Stroman finished with a 10-13 record with a 3.02 ERA during his time with the New York Mets. This is also the second straight year that the Mets will have an MLBbro with 10 or more wins, with Walker carrying a 10-4 record.

It’s the second time in his career that he’s reached the double-digit plateau. The first time was in 2015 when he was a member of the Seattle Mariners and won 11 games. The 2021 All-Star will have the opportunity to tie his career-high in wins and possibly set a new mark before the season ends. 

 

 

Walker has been a workhorse this season and has represented well for the MLBbros. His next start will come on Sunday against the Miami Marlins as he looks to add to his impressive resume this season.

Another bro that could end up with 10 wins is Cleveland Guardians Triston McKenzie. In his third season, the 25-year-old has shown tremendous improvements and has made his presence felt on the mound against opposing teams.

 

There’s no question he has what it takes to be a top pitcher in this league. If he continues to show improvements like he’s been doing, the sky’s the limit for him. He’ll make his next start on Saturday against the Minnesota Twins where he’ll attempt to secure win number 10. He’s already set a career-high in wins.
